Journal 4 Angela de Hoyos and Langston Hughes

Compare the speakers's declaration of his own beauty in Hughes's "I, Too" with the opening verses of Walt Whitman's "Song of Myself."  How are the two speakers alike/different?  

Angela de Hoyo's speaker in "To Walt Whitman" offers a challenge to Whitman.  What would de Hoyos like to have added to or changed about Whitman's portrayal of America?
